In addition to vehicle identification data, the report gives vehicle notes, most recent RA#, date odometer was last recorded and number of days that have elapsed since. As a result, this report shows how long vehicles have been at their current status (available, non-rev, grounded, etc). The report may include all vehicles in your fleet, including foreign vehicles.
User tip: Another similar report, Portable Assets Report, lists only non-vehicle assets. It is modeled after the Vehicle Status Report.
This report may be configured to run automatically at night. Users interested in this feature should contact Thermeon's Customer Support Dept. for further information.
To access the Vehicle Status Report program, type VEHSTAT (RET) at any menu "OPTION:" field or the appropriate line number on the Daily Procedures menu. The screen will then display;

NOTE: Fields 4 and 9
When the user is restricted to a single location or location group in their User Access record, field 9 will default to "1" (Local Location/Pool).
When the code entered in Field 4 is for a location or group that is allowed, anything can be entered in Field 9. That is, a user can include on the report all vehicles that are at the location regardless of who owns them.
If the code entered in Field 4 includes a location outside of the
restricted one(s), then Field 9 will accept a response of only "1".
That is, a user can include on the report all of the vehicles regardless of where they are.
There is a feature in Edit Locations that can report only vehicles from that Location's Fleet Pool on Page 2. See a detailed explanation and set up guide regarding this concept in the Overview chapter for Fleet Pools.
TIPS ON USING VEHICLE STATUS REPORT
The following suggestions will increase the value of this report.
Notes on Reading the Report:
Notes column: For vehicles on a Non-Rev Movement, the data in the Notes column is from Non-Rev Notes. If not on a Non-Rev, the data is from the Vehicle Notes field.
Hertz US and Canada Locations: In the O (on rent) status section, the return location, return date and time are shown in last columns of the report (in place of the Notes column).

NOTES – VEHICLE STATUS REPORT, PAGE 1
➊This report was requested 4-27 at 12:37 p.m. by John. It lists all vehicles sorted by their current status (status they were in at the time the report was requested).
➋ The “Selections” show that the following were requested:
This report can serve many functions. Here are a few examples:
➌ The report is always in order alphabetically by Status Code. These were the “Available” units at the time it was requested. Note that the third vehicle listed has an asterisk (*) before the license plate. This identifies the unit as one which has either: reached its grounding odometer, grounding date, or eligible date as entered on its vehicle record.
Unit 1808 is owned by a foreign city. This is noted by the asterisk as the first character of the license plate number.
Unit 1844 has reached its grounding odometer. This is noted by the caret ( ^ ) before the license plate number.
➍ Unit 1845 is in available status, but is also on an open RA (#S3781888). This should be investigated. Notice that the fuel or tank or battery level (column heading "F") is '7' (7/8). All other vehicles are indicated with a full tank (8).
➎ Unit 2171 has been available for 30.8 days and the note states it has a temporary tag on it. (The contents in the Notes field from the Vehicle Inventory record shows in the Notes column.) It is important to note the number of days a vehicle has been in the available status. Vehicles that are available for a great number of days should be investigated. It could be that they have been sold, wrecked, stolen, or (perhaps in this case) even in-fleeted in error. (When a vehicle is in-fleeted, its tank level is set to zero until it has a transaction such as a RA, Non-Rev, or Make Available.)

NOTES – VEHICLE STATUS REPORT, PAGE 2
➊ The next status shown on this report is “Maintenance” for vehicles that are having routine maintenance performed on-site. Note that this is considered an “Available Type” of status meaning that these units could be pulled for rental if necessary.
➋ As shown in the Notes column, both units have been pulled to have a “LOF” (lube, oil, filter ) performed. The most recent fuel level or battery level for Unit 1826 is 4 ("F" column") which is 4/8 or 1/2 tank.

NOTES – VEHICLE STATUS REPORT, PAGE 3
➊ This vehicle is being shuttled on Non-Rev ticket # NR001004. Vehicles in this status are not available for rental. Notes from the Non-Rev are shown if there are any. Otherwise, the vehicle notes are shown.

These vehicles are being repaired and they are on Non-Rev tickets as well. By placing the vehicles on Non-Rev tickets, they are removed from the available units on the Planning Calendar through their expected return date.

NOTES – VEHICLE STATUS REPORT, PAGE 5
➊ The “On Rent” vehicles are always listed in the last section of the report.
➋ The “Days” column shows the number of days elapsed since the vehicle went “on rent” on its current RA.
➌ The current RA number is shown.
➍ Vehicle # 873210 is owned by MEM (Memphis) a foreign location, but it is on rent on a TUS contract. Also note that the license plate number for foreign vehicles must begin with an asterisk (*).
➎ Vehicle # 1866 is owned by TUS but is on rent at KCI (Kansas City). Note the contract number begins with a “K”.
➏ RA # SH00361 has a different sequence number from the other TUS contracts. Although still a TUS rental, it possibly was hand written on a manual contract and then batch opened in CARS+.
