The Portable Assets Report is used to:
  • Produce a listing of inventoried non-vehicle assets. Various secondary sort orders are available.
  • Follow up on assets at foreign locations. (Use Field 8 to limit the report to just those records.)
  • Obtain a listing of foreign assets at your location.

This report may be configured to run automatically at night. Users interested in this feature should contact Thermeon's Customer Support Dept. for further information.

To access the Portable Assets Report program, type ASTRPT (RET) at any menu "OPTION:" field or the appropriate line number on the Daily Procedures menu. The screen will then display;

Enter data as follows:


1. STATUS

Enter 1 alpha character to select a single Status Code. Or, without spaces or punctuation, enter up to 5 Status Codes . Or, press RET to default to ALL Status Codes.

EXAMPLE: Type A (RET)

NOTE: When you request ALL Status Codes, all codes ex­cept "S" Sold will be included. To produce a re­port of sold vehicles, Status Code "S" must be entered in this field.

2. STATUS TYPE

Enter 1 alpha character to select the Status Type. Press RET to default to ALL Status Types.

A = Available types

N = Not available types

O = On rent

S = Sold

EXAMPLE: Type A (RET)

3. LOCATION

Enter up to 6 alphanumeric characters to indicate the Location. Enter:

  1. Up to 6 alphanumeric characters to select vehicles currently at a single location either foreign or owned.
  2. A Group Name representing several locations (see the Chapter Edit Group Names for a discussion on location groups).
  3. Press RETURN to default to ALL locations.

4. CLASS

Enter up to 4 alphanumeric characters to select an asset class code. Press RET to default to all classes.

5. MAKE

Enter up to 8 alphanumeric characters to limit the report to a particular make of asset. Press RET to default to all makes.

6. START
ASSET #

Enter up to 6 alphanumeric characters to indicate the starting asset number. Press RET to default to the FIRST record in the Inventory File.

EXAMPLE: Type GPS001 (RET)

7. END
ASSETS #

Enter up to 6 alphanumeric characters to indicate the ending vehicle number. Press RET to default to the LAST record in the Inventory File.

8. OWNING LOCATION

Press Shift and F7 to bring up a pop-up window listing choices pertaining to the Owning Location as shown below:

6) ALL Vehicles

LOC#) Specific Location or Group Code (First character of the Group Code is a "+")

9. SORT ORDER

Enter one of the following words to select the sort or­der. The entire word must be typed - no abbreviations.

ASSET - Sort by the inventory number of the asset.

LOCATION - Group by current Location and sort by asset number.

CLASS - Group by Class Code and sort by asset number.

LICENSE - Sort by License Number.

OWNLOC - Sort by Owning Location.

10. DETAIL/
SUMMARY

Enter 1 alpha character to select the report format.

D = Detailed Report - 1 row of data for each asset plus a total for each status code

S = Summary Report - a total for each status code

11. PRINT/
DISPLAY

Enter:

P = Print a hard copy of this report on your terminal's assigned printer or send as an e-mail. See the Edit Terminal Records Chapter for instructions on how to assign printers and send reports as e-mails.

D = Display this report on your terminal screen. See the General Data Entry Instructions Chapter on how to control the screen display.

F = A csv file will be created out of the reported data and placed in the directory "assets".

E = A csv file will be created and delivered to the user's PC.
