Use this program to:

To use this report, the following set up is required:

1. The options to be reported must be defined in an Option Set, Edit Option Sets.

2. The Option Set defined in step one above, must be entered into field 12 of the Edit Incentive Control Record .

3. Finally, before this report can be run, the Update Revenue Incentives program must be run to calculate the penetration and revenue for the options involved. (The update program can be run as often as desired.) As this program can involve a significant amount of calculations, usually it is scheduled by the Report Driver to be run every night when system resource demands are low. (Contact Thermeon's Customer Support Dept. to have the report scheduled.)

Another version of this program, the Individual Revenue Incentive (SRPD) Report, (Incremental Sales - Employee Reports Menu) can be used by employees to check their progress. In the "individual" version, the report can be run only for the employee accessing the report.

To access the program, type SRPD2 (RET) at any menu "OPTION:" field or the appropriate number on the Hertz Brazil Menu. Installations other than Hertz Brazil may request Thermeon Customer Suppor to add this program to their menu. The screen will then display:

3. START DATE

Notes about this report:

When run in detail, each employee's sales for each option in the SRPD option set for each location is listed down the left side.

Columns starting at the left side show:

Employee Code

Location Code

Option Code

Date Range for the report

Number of possible sales for each option (total number of RAs on which the sale was possible)

Number of actual sales for each option

Days of possible sales for each option (total number of rental days on all RAs on which the sale was possible)

Days of actual sales for each option

Percent of sales (number of possible divided by number of actual sales)

Revenue generated from the RAs on which the option was sold

SRPD - Sales Revenue Per Day (Revenue divided by the days possible)

The right side of the report shows:

the target and it's incentive

amount earned

the next target level (if there is one) and that target's incentive

The final row for each employee is labeled "SRPD" and is a total the the rows above.

Subtotal roll up logic:

When run for a location group, rolling subtotals provide the following:

Subtotal by option code for each location within a location group and each location group within another group.
Total for each the group.
Grand total for all members of the group.

WHEN THE REPORTED NUMBERS DO NOT LOOK RIGHT

There are two types of reports in CARS+:

Those that read the actual source data files

And those that read a summary file of data based on actual source data files.

For example, the Extra Revenue Report reads the actual Rental Agreement file to find the incremental sales. But because the selling agent can be the res agent, the RA's Opening agent, or even an employee who added an option at a later time, it can require a significant amount of system processing time to find records and "crunch" the numbers. The Sales Revenue Per Day Reports 1 and 2, on the other hand, do NOT read the RA file but rather a summary file of rental data. Data is placed in this summary file by running the Update Revenue Incentives program.

The Update Revenue Incentives program calls the Extra Revenue Report in "update mode". So in theory the Extra Revenue Report and Incentive Reports should produce the same output. If the numbers in the Incentive Report do not look correct, try the following:

  1. Manually run Update Revenue Incentive to make sure the summary data file is up to date.
  2. Run the Extra Revenue Report for the period in question. Be sure to run the report in the same way the Edit Incentive Control Record is defined.
  3. Run the Extra Revenue Report in detail mode so that each RA is reported individually and its sales opportunities are defined.
