The Following Set Up is Required:
1. The options must be defined in an Option Set, Edit Option Set Codes.
2. The Option Set defined in step One above, must be entered into field 12 of the Edit Incentive Control Record .
3. Finally, before this report can be run, the Update Revenue Incentives program must be run (often as desired) to calculate the penetration and revenue for the options involved. As this program can involve a significant amount of calculations, usually is it scheduled by the Report Driver to be run every night when system resource demands are low.

WARNING CONCERNING OPTION PACKAGES The use of Option Packages (not Option Bundles) may negatively impact this report. Please see the warning section at the end of the chapter, Overview - Option Discounts, Bundles and Packages for a more detailed explanation of the impact of the Option Package logic on this and other reports. |
Another version of this program, the Individual Sales Revenue Per Day Report 1, (Daily Procedures Menu - Employee Reports Sub-menu) can be used by employees to check their progress. In the "individual" version, the report can be run only for the employee accessing the report.
To access the
program, type SRDPRT (RET) at any menu "OPTION:" field or the appropriate number on the Incremental Sales - Manager's Reports Menu. The screen will then
display:

3. END DATE |
Using the selected date format, enter the Ending Date. EXAMPLE: Type 090213 (RET) |

4. EMPL |
Enter up to 6 characters for a single user code or press (RET) to run the report for ALL users. EXAMPLE: Press (RET) |

Notes about this program:
The options in the Option Set are sorted by Option Type. All "L" type options (LDW) are reported together in a single column.
The report has 3 sections:
The first section shows the daily average of revenue for each of the options. This is calculated as follows: The total option revenue from the RAs on which the option was sold divided by the total number of rental days on all RAs in which the sale was possible.
Example: If LDW is sold at 10.99/day and all 10 of the RAs on which it was saleable were 2 days in length, the calculation would be:
10.99 X 2 days X 5 RAs = 109.90 total LDW revenue 109.90/20 possible days = 5.50 LDW Sales Revenue Per Day (SRPD)
The second section shows the total revenue for each of the options as well as for Additional Driver.
The third section shows the number of total transactions (RAs) each user opened.
For each of the individual options it shows:
The the number of possible transactions on which each of the options could have been sold
The number actually sold
The percent of transactions on which the item was sold. For example "#tx =10" and "ptx = 6" "%LDW = 60", means that of all RAs that this agent opened which closed within the requested date range, only 10 could have had LDW sold. Of those 10, LDW was sold on 6 which equals 60% of them.
WHEN THE REPORTED NUMBERS DO NOT LOOK RIGHT
There are two types of reports in CARS+:
Those that read the actual source data files
And those that read a summary file of data based on actual source data files.
For example, the Extra Revenue Report reads the actual Rental Agreement file to find the incremental sales. But because the selling agent can be the res agent, the RA's Opening agent or even an employee who added an option at a later time, it can require a significant amount of system processing time to find records and "crunch" the numbers. The Sales Revenue Per Day Report on the other hand does NOT read the RA file but rather a summary file of rental data. Data is placed in this summary file by the Update Revenue Incentive program.
Update Revenue Incentive program calls the Extra Revenue Report in "update mode". So in theory the Extra Revenue Report and Incentive Reports should produce the same output. If the numbers in the Incentive Report do not look correct, try the following:
