To access the program, type INSREV (RET) at any menu "OPTION:" field or the appropriate number on the Hertz Report Sub-menu of the Hertz Menu. The screen will then display:

Enter data as follows:


1. LOCATION

For the opening location enter:

1. Up to 6 alphanumeric characters to select a single location.

2. A Group Name representing several locations (see the Chapter Edit Group Names for a discussion on location groups). Remember, the first character of a Group Name is the plus sign "+". In addition, for this report, a Location Group will trigger "subtotal roll-ups" (if the group contains groups within groups, subtotals will print for each group level). For more information on this feature, refer to the section on Subtotal Roll-Ups at the end of the Edit Group Names chapter.

3. Enter "ALL" to include all locations.

2. CUST TYPE

Select which transactions should be included. Enter :

1 = Insurance RAs only (Customer on the insurance voucher is an "INS" logic type customer)

2 = Dealership RAs only (Customer on the insurance voucher is a "DLR" logic type customer)

3 = Both insurance logic and dealership logic RAs.

3. CUST NUMBER
Enter a single Customer Number of an insurance company or dealership whose rentals are to be reported or press RET for all comapnies.

4. START OPEN DATE

Using the selected date format, enter the Starting Opening Date. Press RET to default to the first day of the current month. The date range in Fields 2 and 3 refers to the opening date the RAs.

5. END OPEN DATE

Using the selected date format, enter the Ending Opening Date. Press RET to default to the current date. Remember, the date range in Fields 2 and 3 refers to the opening date the RAs.

6. INSURANCE REVENUE ONLY

Enter one of the following:

Y = Yes, only the insurance voucher revenue will be reported.

N = No, both the insurance voucher revenue plus any out of voucher charges that were paid by the renter themselves will be reported.

7. DETAIL/SUMMARY/ AREA

Enter 1 alpha character to select the report format.

D = Detailed Report - 1 row of data for each RA

S = Summary Report - a subtotal row for each opening location

A = Area Report - locations will be subtotaled by the first five characters of the Hertz seven character location code

8. PRINT/ DISPLAY/CSV

Enter:

P = Print a hard copy of this report on your terminal's assigned printer. See the Edit Terminal Records Chapter for instructions on how to assign printers.

D = Display this report on this screen. See the General Data Entry Instructions Chapter on how to control the screen display.

C = CSV. In order to get the CSV file, you must first use Change User Environment to set your CARS+ Report Printer to a value that causes the output to be opened or saved as a file. The current CARS+ Report Printer setting is displayed to the right of this field on the same line. Please refer to the chapter for Edit Terminal Records or Change User Environment for more information on setting up printing to a file and/or opening a file in the default program for that file.

User Tip: The difference between CSV in this field vs Creat ASCII File in the next field. The Create ASCII File option (Field 9) should only be used by operations running CARS+ on their own hosted servers. For users using CARS+ Internet, use the CSV option (this field) as the resulting file will be delivered to your PC.

9. CREATE ASCII FILE
Enter:

Y = yes, to have the program create a comma delimited ascii file of the data.

N = No, simply print or display the report.
