Maintenance Warning Reports can be produced for:
For Service Codes that are strictly time based, the report can be run in a mode where a future date is entered and work due as of that date will be listed.
For each vehicle within the range of vehicles selected, the following checks are made to determine if the vehicle should be listed. For the sake of illustration, assume that a Warning Report is being made for those vehicles needing an oil change.
In order for the Maintenance Warning Report to function properly, the following steps must be taken:
THE MAINTENANCE WARNING REPORT WILL ONLY BE AS ACCURATE AS THE CONSISTENCY EMPLOYED IN ENTERING ALL MAINTENANCE ACTS IN THE VEHICLE HISTORY FILE.
To access the Maintenance Warning Report program, type WARNRPT (RET) at any menu "OPTION:" field or the appropriate line number on the History/Maintenance Menu. The screen will then display:

1. STARTING DATE |
Using the selected date format, enter the starting date. Vehicles whose odometer date is earlier than this date will not appear on the report. By setting this date several weeks in the past, vehicles which are not in the current working fleet will be eliminated from being reported. Recommended: Press (RET) to accept the default of "EARLIEST". EXAMPLE: Press (RET) |

2. ENDING DATE |
Using the selected date format, enter the ending date. Vehicles with odometer dates which are later than this date will not appear on this report. By setting this date in the past, vehicles which are currently active will be eliminated and only inactive vehicles will be reported. Recommended: Press (RET) to accept the default of "LATEST". EXAMPLE: Press (RET) The Starting and Ending Dates eliminate vehicles from being reported based on a date that may not be familiar to the user. Many of those eliminated vehicles may be past due on a particular service act and as a result can be lost. Therefore, it is recommended that the default values be used for both of these fields. |

3. STARTING VEHICLE |
Enter up to 6 alphanumeric characters to indicate the Starting Vehicle. Press RET to default to the First Vehicle on file. EXAMPLE: Type 14100 (RET) |

4. ENDING VEHICLE |
Enter up to 6 alphanumeric characters to indicate the Ending Vehicle. Press RET to default to the Last Vehicle on file. EXAMPLE: Type 14200 (RET) |

5. CLASS |
Enter up to 4 alphanumeric characters to indicate the Class of vehicles. Press RET to default to All Classes. EXAMPLE: Press (RET) |

6. MAKE |
Enter up to 8 alphanumeric characters to indicate the Make of the vehicle. Press RET to default to All Makes. EXAMPLE: Type FORD (RET) |

7. LOCATION |
Enter up to 6 alphanumeric characters to indicate the Customers Pick-Up Location. Enter:
User tip: The location selection may be limited for this report. If the user's access is restricted and an attempt is made to enter a location or location group which is outside the allowed parameters, the following message will be displayed at the bottom of the screen and the selection will be ignored:

8. STATUS |
To limit the report to vehicles in a particular status, enter 1 alpha character to select only those vehicles currently in that status. By design, sold vehicles will never appear on this report. Press RET to default to all statuses except sold. EXAMPLE: Press (RET) |

9. START SER- VICE CODE |
Enter up to 2 numeric characters to indicate the Starting Service Code. EXAMPLE: Type 1 (RET) |

10. END SER- VICE CODE |
Enter up to 2 numeric characters to indicate the Ending Service Code. EXAMPLE: Type 5 (RET) User tip: The Service Code numbers entered in Fields 9 and 10 can range from 01 to 89 if desired. When any Service Codes in the range of 11 to 89 are selected, Open Service Tickets will be included in the report for the vehicle's selected. Open Service Tickets with a date (start date) that is earlier than or equal to the date entered in Field 14 will be included. |

11. SORT ORDER |
Enter 1 alpha character to indicate the sort order.

Enter 1 alpha character to select whether or not you wish to print each vehicle on a separate page.

For those service flags that are strictly time based, such as an annual inspection, this field can be used to enter a future date. For example, to obtain a report of which vehicles will be due for their inspection next month, enter the last day of the upcoming month in this field. EXAMPLE: Type 022817 (RET) |

Press Shift and F7 to bring up a pop-up window listing choices pertaining to the Owning Location as shown below:

The report will have 3 or more rows for each vehicle listed.
Row 1: Vehicle information:
Row 2: Location information:Vehicle number, License plate number, Model year, Make, Model code, Type, Color, Current status
Current location, Owning location, Stall number, In-service date; 'current' date from the Inventory record
Service code number and description, Standard cost, interval of service in days and distance, elapsed days and distance since last service, Date and odometer reading of last service.Note: There is a feature in Edit Misc. Control Files that can be used to set the odometer readings regardless of when the last service was done. For Example: A vehicle that is to have its oil changed every 10,000km will be due at 20,000km even if the last oil change was done as 12,000km.
