The Fleet Edit Report 2 is a variation of the Fleet Edit Report. The same fields reside on the selections screen, however, the order is different. Additional selections are provided in order to allow vehicles to be selected by their modification date.

Hertz customers can also use this report to research which vehicle records have been modified since data was last transmitted to OKC. The last transmit date and time appear on the report in the place of the security code and posting code.

User tip: This report ignores foreign vehicles.

To access the Fleet Edit Report 2 program, type FLTEDT2 (RET) at any menu "OPTION:" field or the appropriate line number on the Fleet Menu. The screen will then display:

Enter data as follows;

1. START VEH#

Enter the vehicle unit number of the first vehicle to be reported. Press RET to default to the FIRST Vehicle Number.

EXAMPLE: Type 14090 (RET)

2. END VEH#

Enter the vehicle unit number of the last vehicle to be reported. Press RET to default to the LAST Vehicle Number.

EXAMPLE: Type 14200 (RET)

3. LOCATION

Enter up to 6 alphanumeric characters to indicate the Current location of the vehicles to be reported.

1. Up to 6 alphanumeric characters to select a single pick-up location.

2. A Group Name representing several locations (see the Chapter Edit Group Names for a discussion on location groups). Remember, the first character of a Group Name is the plus sign "+".

3. Press RETURN to accept the default location.

Note: User access may limited the locations for this report. If access is restricted and an attempt is made to run the report for a location or location group outside of the allowed parameters, the following message will be displayed at the bottom of the screen and the selection will be ignored:

4. CLASS

Enter up to 4 alphanumeric characters to select a Class Code. Press RET to include ALL Classes.

5. MAKE

Enter up to 8 alphanumeric characters to select the Make of the vehicle. Press RET to include ALL Makes.

6. START PURCHASE DATE

Using the selected date format, enter the Starting Purchase Date. Press RET to default to "EARLIEST".

7. END PURCHASE DATE

Using the selected date format, enter the Ending Pur­chase Date. Press RET to default to LATEST.

EXAMPLE: Type 033108 (RET)

8. VIN SELECTION

This field is used to select vehicles by VIN numbers. See the introduction to the Fleet Menu section for in­structions on the use of this field. By leaving this field blank, all VIN numbers are included.

9. OWNING LOCATION

If your organization is set up to use fleet pools and your default location references a fleet pool, this field defaults to the appropriate pool location. Otherwise, this field will show your default location.

Or, enter up to 6 alphanumeric characters to indicate a different Owning Location Code.

Or to include all owning locations, type "ALL."

10. INCLUDE ASSETS
This field refers to non-vehicle assets (such as GPS units) that are inventoried. Enter:
Y = Yes, include non-vehicle assets in the report
N = No, do not include non-vehicle assets in the report (include only vehicles)
O = Report only non-vehicle assets

10. SORT BY

Enter one of the following words to select the sort order. Type the entire word without abbreviating.

VEHICLE - Sort by the Vehicle Number.

LOCATION - Group by current Location and sort by Vehicle #.

CLASS - Group by Class Code and sort by Vehicle #.

LICENSE - Sort by License Number.*

VIN - Sort by the full 17 characters of the VIN #.*

OWNLOC - Sort by Owning Location.

PURCHDATE - Group by purchase date and sort by Vehicle #.*

GROUNDDATE - Group by grounding date and sort by Vehicle #.*

ELIGDATE - Group by eligibility date and sort by Vehicle #.*

MAKEMODEL - Sort by Make first; then by Model within Make.*

* The sort options marked with an asterisk require more processing time than the other choices. They involve data fields that are not part of the index structure of the Vehicle File.

11. PRINT/
DISPLAY

Enter:

P = Print a hard copy of this report on your terminal's assigned printer or send as an e-mail. See Edit Terminal Records Chap­ter for instructions on how to assign printers and send reports as e-mails.

D = Display this report on your terminal screen. See the General Data Entry Instructions Chapter on how to control the screen display.

The next four fields refer to the modification date field in the Vehicle Inventory record which displays the last date and time that the vehicle record was modified.

12. START MOD DATE

Using the selected date format, enter the starting modification date or press (RET) to default to "EARLIEST".

13. START MODE TIME

Using the selected time format, enter the starting modification time or press (RET) to default to the first minute of the day.

14. END MODE DATE

Using the selected date format, enter the ending modification date or press (RET) to default to "LATEST".

15. END MODE TIME

Using the selected time format, enter the ending modification time or press (RET) to default to the last minute of the day.

16. UNTRANS-MITTED ONLY

For certain Hertz users of CARS+, this field offers a Y/N choice to list only those records that have been modified more recently than the last time the record was transmitted to OKC.

Y = Yes, list only those vehicle records that have been modified since the last time they were transmitted.

N = No, list vehicles regardless of their last transmittal time.
