Gold Choice is a privilege granted to VIP customers within Hertz whereby a Gold customer can bypass the counter and chose any vehicle within the Gold Choice ready line even if the vehicle is NOT of the class reserved. In the process of doing Gold Choice, it is possible that the renter may select a vehicle that is more expensive than the one they originally reserved. When that occurs, an upsell charge may be added to the contact via the Gold Choice Exit program.

This report is used to list all Gold Choice RAs and list the additional revenue that was added at the gate.

To access the Gold Choice Release Report, type GLDRLS (RET) at any menu "OPTION:" field or the appropriate line number on the Hertz Reports sub-menu of the Hertz Menu.The screen will then display:

Enter data as follows:

1. OPEN LOC

Enter:

  1. Up to 6 alphanumeric characters to select Gold Choice RAs that were opened at a single location.
  2. A Group Name representing several locations (see the Chapter Edit Group Names for a discussion on location groups).Remember, the first character of a Group Name is the plus sign "+".
  3. Press RETURN to default to ALL locations.

Note: Your user access may be limited as to the locations for which you can run this report. If your access is restricted and you attempt to enter a location or location group which is outside your allowed parameters, the following message will be displayed at the bottom of the screen and your selection will be ignored:

2. START TIME
 Enter the earliest RA Open Time that should be read. Open RAs that opened between the time entered here and the time in the next field and which are gold questionable will be reported. This field will default to the current system time less 2 hours.

3. END TIME
 Enter the latest RA Open Time that should be read. Open RAs that opened between the time entered here and the time in the previous field and which are gold questionable will be reported. This field will default to the current system time.

4. PRINT/ DISPLAY

Enter:

P = Print a hard copy of this report on your terminal's assigned printer. See the Edit Terminal Records Chapter for instructions on how to assign printers.

D = Display this report on your terminal screen. See the General Data Entry Instructions Chapter on how to control screen display.
