Use this program to:

• Look up the currency code for any currencies that you accept
• Look up the currency code for your domestic currency

For convenience, International Standard Organization currency codes have been pre-loaded into this file.

Currency codes are used in CARS+ in the following places:

• Edit Rental Rules/Rates - rates may be setup in any currency

• Edit Exchange Rates - exchange rates between local and foreign currencies

• Edit Locations - each location may use a different local currency

• Reservations and RA Open - if foreign currency is accepted as a deposit on a Reservation or Open RA, a field in the Deposit Subwindow identifies the currency

• RA Close - If foreign currency is accepted at Close, a field in the Payment Subwindow identifies the currency

To access the Edit Currency Info program, type EDITCUR (RET) at any menu "OPTION:" field or the appropriate line number on the Accounting Control Files menu.

Shown below is an example of code 124 for Canadian Dollars:

Data in each field is as follows:

1. CODE	The numeric ISO currency code assigned to this currency.
2. ABBREVIATION	The alphabetic ISO currency code assigned to this currency. In general, the first 2 characters represent the country followed by one character for the currency itself. NOTE: Only the first 2 characters of this abbreviation are used when setting up the exchange rate in the Edit Exchange Rate program and in ALL other places in CARS+
3. NAME	The name of the currency.
4. COUNTRY	The country associated with the currency
5. DECIMALS	The number of digits to the right of the decimal point for this currency.
6. CURRENCY SYMBOL	Enter the symbol that should be used for currency when printing a RA. (This can be up to 6 characters.) EXAMPLE: Type CN$ (RET)
