Currency codes are used in CARS+ in the following places:
To access the Edit Currency Info program, type EDITCUR (RET) at any menu "OPTION:" field or the appropriate line number on the Accounting Control Files menu.
Shown below is an example of code 124 for Canadian Dollars:

Data in each field is as follows:

1. CODE |
The numeric ISO currency code assigned to this currency. |

2. ABBREVIATION |
The alphabetic ISO currency code assigned to this currency. In general, the first 2 characters represent the country followed by one character for the currency itself. NOTE: Only the first 2 characters of this abbreviation are used when setting up the exchange rate in the Edit Exchange Rate program and in ALL other places in CARS+ |

3. NAME |
The name of the currency. |

4. COUNTRY |
The country associated with the currency |

5. DECIMALS |
The number of digits to the right of the decimal point for this currency. |

Enter the symbol that should be used for currency when printing a RA. (This can be up to 6 characters.) EXAMPLE: Type CN$ (RET) |
