Rental Option Report

Use this program to produce the following types of reports which list:

Closed RAs where a particular option is present.
Closed RAs that opened and closed at the same location.
Closed RAs that opened at a specific location and closed at another location.
Closed RAs that opened at another location and closed at a specific location.
Open RAs can be included in any of the above if requested.
Any of the reports above can be limited to RAs with a particular option.

To access the program, type RNTOPT (RET) at any menu "OPTION:" field or the appropriate number on the Manager's Sales Report sub-menu of the Incremental Sales sub-menu of the Month End Menu. The screen will then display:

Enter data as follows:

1. LOCATION

Enter:

1. Up to 6 alphanumeric characters to select a single location, or

2. A Group Name representing several locations (see the Chapter Edit Group Names for a discussion on location groups). Remember, the first character of a Group Name is the plus sign "+".

Press RETURN to accept the default location.

EXAMPLE: Press (RET)

User tip: "ALL" is not accepted in this field.

2. START DATE

Using the selected date format, enter the starting opening date. This date defaults to yesterday.

EXAMPLE: Type 080113 RET)

3. END DATE

Using the selected date format, enter the ending opening date. This date defaults to yesterday.

EXAMPLE: Type 081313 RET)

4. INCLUDE OPENS

Enter:

Y = yes, include both open and closed RAs.

N = no, report closed RAs only

EXAMPLE: Press (RET)

5. OPTION CODE

Use this field to limit the report to RAs with a single option. If this field is blank, all RAs are reported.

EXAMPLE: Type GPS (RET)

6. SECTION 1

The report can have up to 3 sections. Section 1 reports RAs opening and closing at the location entered in Field 1.

Y = yes, include section 1

N = no, do not include section 1

EXAMPLE: Press (RET)

7. SECTION 2

The report can have up to 3 sections. Section 2 reports RAs opening at the location entered in Field 1 but closing elsewhere.

Y = yes, include section 2

N = no, do not include section 2

EXAMPLE: Press (RET)

8. SECTION 3

The report can have up to 3 sections. Section 3 reports RAs opening at other locations and closing at the location entered in Field 1.

Y = yes, include section 3

N = no, do not include section 3

9. PRINT/
DISPLAY/ FILE

Enter:

P = Print a hard copy of this report on your terminal's assigned printer or send it as an e-mail. See the Edit Terminal Records Chapter for instructions on how to assign printers and send reports as e-mails.

D = Display this report on this screen. See the General Data Entry Instructions Chapter on how to control the screen display.

F = Produce a comma delimited file with a single line of headers.

Vehicle number (including check digit for Hertz locations)
