Use this program to: User Tip: Marketing programs are set up using the Edit Marketing Programs control file.

To access the program, type MRKRPT (RET) at any menu "OPTION:" field or the appropriate number on the Month End Menu. The screen will then display:

Enter data as follows:

1. MARKETING CODE

Enter up to 6 alphanumeric characters representing the marketing code.

EXAMPLE: Type JU401 (RET)

2. OPEN LOCATION

Enter

1. Up to 6 alphanumeric characters to select a single location.

2.A Group Name representing several locations (see the Chapter Edit Group Names for a discussion on location groups). Remember, the first character of a Group Name is the plus sign "+".

3."ALL" to include all locations

Press RETURN to accept the default location.

3. START OPEN DBR DATE

Using the selected date format, enter the Starting Date. This field and the next one define a date range. Contracts with open DBR dates that fall within the range will qualify for the report. Press (RET) to default to the first day of this month.

4. END OPEN DBR DATE

Using the selected date format, enter the Ending Date.

EXAMPLE: Type 043008 (RET)

5. START TICKET #

Enter up to 8 numeric characters representing the lowest or starting ticket number or press (RET) to accept the default of "FIRST".

User tip: Remember that ticket numbers are subject o the Mod-7 check digit logic.

6. END TICKET #

Enter up to 8 numeric characters representing the highest or ending ticket number or press (RET) to accept the default of "LAST".

7. SECONDARY SORT

The primary sort on this report is always by Location. In this field enter the choice for the secondary sort:

1 = By ticket number. If a gap in the ticket numbers is found, a series of 8 asterisks will print in the Ticket # column followed by the message "missing Ticket Number(s).

2 = By RA number

3 = By Opening Date

4 = By Opening Employee

8. REPORT TYPE

This field is used to define the level of detail on the report. Enter:

1 = Full Detail. If run for more than one location, each location will start on a new page.

2 = Ticket number ranges only

9. PRINT/
DISPLAY

Enter:

P = Print a hard copy of this report on your terminal's assigned printer or send it as an e-mail. See the Edit Terminal Records Chapter for instructions on how to assign printers and send reports as e-mails.

D = Display this report on this screen. See the General Data Entry Instructions Chapter on how to control the screen display.

Notes about reading the report:

The data in the column "# of Tickets Remaining" will be calculated as follows:

The difference is found between the first ticket # and the last ticket # in the range associated with the program. Then the number of tickets issued is subtracted.

If the customer declined the ticket promotion, the word "DECLINED" prints in the ticket # column.

The "Still Qual" column shows a "Y" (yes) or "N" (no) indicating if the RA currently still qualifies for the promotion.
