This program is part of the Damage Tracking logic. Use this program to produce a report that compares the damage estimate, the actual repair cost, and the damage amount charged to the customer.

Complete damage records that meet the selections entered in Fields 1 -4 will be reported. Data is sorted by vehicle with all damage records that were repaired on the same date grouped together. If more than one damage record was repaired by the same repair record, all damage records will be subtotaled together.

Voided Damage Reports are ignored by this program.

To access the Damage Variance Report program, type DMGVAR (RET) at any menu "OPTION:" field or the appropriate line number on the Damage Tracking Sub-Menu of the History/Maintenance Menu. The screen will then display:

Enter data as follows:

1. LOCATION

Enter

1. Up to 6 alphanumeric characters to select a single location.

2. A Group Name representing several locations (see the Chapter Edit Group Names for a discussion on location groups). Remember, the first character of a Group Name is the plus sign "+".

Press RETURN to accept the default location.

EXAMPLE: Type TUS (RET)

2. START DATE

Using your selected date format, enter the starting repair date. Press RET to default to today's date.

EXAMPLE: Type 020104 (RET)

3. END DATE

Using your selected date format, enter the ending repair date. Press RET to default to today's date.

EXAMPLE: Type 022904 (RET)

4. VEHICLE #

To limit the report to just one vehicle, enter up to 6 characters representing the vehicle number. Otherwise, press (RET) to default to ALL vehicles.

DISPLAY

Enter:

P = Print a hard copy of this report on your terminal's assigned printer. See the Edit Terminal Records Chapter for instructions on how to assign printers.

D = Display this report on this screen. See the General Data Entry Instructions Chapter on how to control the screen display.

Notes about the report:

The following information is shown for each completed repair order:

Damage Report number

RA number or Non-Rev number

Employee code of who created the damage record

Matrix cost (estimated cost)

Total Cost (matrix cost plus lost days cost)

Customer Charge (amount charged to customer)

Repair date

Employee code of who entered the repair

Repair Cost

Estimate difference (difference between Repair Cost and Total Cost)

Charge difference (difference between Repair Cost and Customer Charge)
