The following data fields play a role in these changes and are listed here for reference purposes.
The following data fields play a role in these changes and are listed here for reference purposes.
# Hertz Data Field CARS+ Data Field Comment
F1 FIELD REMARKS 1 Notes File (1:1)
CD CDPID # CORP ID
TC IATA (TRAVEL AGT) NUMBER VENDOR NUMBER/NAME
VN VENDOR
If the Vendor record in CARS+ with the IATA number in the TC field is linked to a Customer record, that Customer number is automatically entered on the Reservation in the bill-to field.
If the Vendor is not linked to a Customer record, the following note will be automatically added to the Reservation:
** FATURAMENTO NAO ENCONTRATO, VERIFIQUE! **
If the CD (CDPID) field is blank, a "9" is added as the first digit in front of the IATA number (Field TC). The resulting number is used to look up a matching local CDPID number. If a match is found, the local rate supersedes the rate sent in the reservation. Additionally, all privileges set up for the local CDPID will be applied.
If the vendor is linked to a bill-to Customer record and data exists in the VN field, the characters "LOC" are entered automatically in the Purchase Order # field of the Reservation.
2. Field F1; Last 3 characters are: FTE, FPE, or FDE
The contents of the CD field are used to look up a Customer record using the CDPID cross reference file. (This file has a record for every Customer that has a local CDPD number in the CDPID field.).
If a single Customer record is found, that Customer number is entered on the Reservation in the bill-to field.
If no record is found in the cross reference file, or the CDPID number points to more than one Customer record, the following note will be automatically added to the Reservation:
** FATURAMENTO NAO ENCONTRATO, VERIFIQUE! **
If the CD field is blank, a "9'" is added as the first digit in front of the IATA number (Field TC). The resulting number is used to look up a matching local CDPID number. If a match is found, the local rate supersedes the rate sent in the reservation. Additionally, all privileges set up for the local CDPID will be applied.
User tip: For Hertz Brazil, the Vendor Commission Rpt ignores the GVT record "SHORTCOM" for rentals with a bill-to customer.
In order to identify reservations received through the Res. Interface program, a Source Cross Reference Table can be set up. Refer to the chapter of this manual titled OKC Source Code Cross Reference Table for details.
