Use this report to audit the set up of the Vehicle Planning Calendar done through Recalculate Class Needs. The Planning Calendar is not individual vehicle oriented (for that, see the product Webplan) but rather Class oriented. The calendar carries the total number of units it believes are in the active fleet and the number of commitments that have been made against that number (reservations, open RAs and open Non-revs). When it is suspected that these numbers are wrong, the first step is to manually re-run Recalculate Class Needs. If after that, the numbers for today still appear to be wrong, this program can be run to audit the Planning Calendar counts.
To access the Class Futures Report program, type FUTRPT (RET) at any menu "OPTION:" field or the appropriate line number on the Fleet Planning menu. The screen will then display:
| OPTION: __ CLASS FUTURES REPORT 1 Location ALL 2 Class ALL 1BEGIN 2 3 4 5BACKUP 6 7HELP 8 |
Enter data as follows:
|
1. LOCATION |
Enter up to 6 alphanumeric characters to indicate the Location or Metro-plex that is to be reported. EXAMPLE: Type LAX (RET). |
| 2. CLASS |
Enter a single Vehicle Class Code whose starting counts are to be reported. EXAMPLE: Type CCAR (RET) |
READING THE REPORT
1. The report begins with a list of all vehicle unit numbers that were counted as part of the active fleet for the Class and Location/Metro-plex requested.
2. This will be followed by any Future Adjustments made through Change Class Availability that may exist.
3. These two numbers will be subtotaled together after the literal "TOTAL VEHICLE COUNT:". This number should agree with the fleet count on the Class Availability Report or the Class Availability search when they are run for AMT (amounts) rather than PCT (percentages).
4. Next will come a listing of all Reservations, Open RAs and Open Non-Revs that represent a use or commitment of units in the Class requested. These will be totaled together after the literal "TOTAL UNITS COMMITTED;". This number should agree with the committed count on the Class Availability Report or the Class Availability search.
Note: When comparing numbers on this report to the Planning Calendar the Time Period in which the date and time this report was run (printed in the upper left corner) must be used for the comparison. And obviously, any transactions that occur between the times the two reports are run may cause them to go out of sync with each other.
