This program will recalculate the fleet size and commitments (open RAs and reservations) for all locations.
User tip: A similar program, Recalculate Class Needs by Location, will recalculate class needs for just a single location.
To access the Recalculate Class Needs program, type RECALC (RET) at any menu "OPTION:" field or the appropriate line number on the Fleet Planning menu. The screen will then display:

Enter data as follows:

1. START DATE |
Using your selected date format, enter the Starting Date. Records with dates earlier than this will not be recalculated. Press RET to default to today's date. EXAMPLE: Press (RET) |

Enter up to 6 alphanumeric characters representing the Location Code for the planning records to be recalculated. Press RET to default to ALL Locations. EXAMPLE: Type TUS (RET) |

Enter up to 4 alphanumeric characters representing a Class Code for the planning records to be recalculated. Press RET to default to ALL Class Codes. EXAMPLE: Press (RET) |

NOTE about in-fleeting vehicles:
When a vehicle is in-fleeted, it is the In-Service Date field on the Vehicle Inventory record that is read by the Recalculate Class Needs
program.
Some operations chose to pre-load vehicles before they are physically at the rental location. For those units, the In-Service Date field should be left blank so that the vehicle is ignored by the planning calendar. The first time the vehicle is used in one of the programs listed below, the In-Service Date field is automatically set to the start date of the transaction. The programs are:
