This report produces a listing which includes:

The report may be run in various sequences. Regardless of your selection parameters, this report excludes all vehicles whose Status Code is S (Sold). Foreign vehicles and vehicles whose Status Code is C (Converted) will be included.

To access the Vehicle ID Report, type ID (RET) at any menu "OPTION:" field or the appropriate line number from the Fleet Menu. The screen will then display:

Enter data as follows:

1. START VEH#

Enter the vehicle unit number of the first vehicle to be reported. Press RET to default to the FIRST Vehicle Number

If there is only one vehicle on file with the unit number entered, all pertinent data relating to that vehicle will be loaded. If more than one vehicle is on file with the unit number (multiple owners), the Vehicle File Search program will automatically be called and all vehicles with a matching unit number will be displayed for selection.

2. END VEH#

Enter the vehicle unit number of the last vehicle to be reported. Press RET to default to the LAST Vehicle Number.

EXAMPLE: Type 14200 (RET)

3. LOCATION

Enter up to 6 alphanumeric characters to indicate the Current location of the vehicles to be reported.

1. Up to 6 alphanumeric characters to select a single pick-up location.

2. A Group Name representing several locations (see the Chapter Edit Group Names for a discussion on location groups). Remember, the first character of a Group Name is the plus sign "+".

3. Press RETURN to accept the default location.

Note: Your user access may be limited as to the locations for which you can run this report. If your access is restricted and you attempt to enter a location or location group which is outside your allowed parameters, the following message will be displayed at the bottom of the screen and your selection will be ignored:

4. CLASS

Enter up to 4 alphanumeric characters to indicate the Class Code. Press RET to default to ALL Classes.

5. MAKE

Enter up to 8 alphanumeric characters to indicate the Make of the vehicle. Press RET to default to ALL Makes.

EXAMPLE: Type FORD (RET)

6. OWNING LOCATION

Press Shift and F7 to bring up a pop-up window listing choices pertaining to the Owning Location as shown below:

LOC#) Specific Location or Group Code (First character of the Group Code is a “+”)

7. VIN SELECTION

This field is used to select vehicles by VIN numbers. See introduction to the Fleet Menu section for instructions on the use of this field. By leaving this field blank, all VIN numbers are included.

8. ENGINE #

This field refers to the "Engine Block # " field on the Vehicle Inventory screen.

Enter:

Y = Yes, the Engine Block number should print on the report. It will print in the "Options" column instead of the data entered in the "Options" field.

N = No, the Engine block number should not print. Uses the Options column to list data from the Options field.

9. SORT ORDER

Enter one of the following words to select the sort order. You MUST type the entire word. NO abbreviations.

VEHICLE - Sort by the Vehicle Number.

LOCATION - Group by current Location and sort by Vehicle #.

CLASS - Group by Class Code and sort by Vehicle #.

LICENSE - Sort by License Number. *

VIN - Sort by the full 17 characters of the VIN #.*

VINLAST8 - Sort by the last 8 characters of the VIN #.

OWNLOC - Group by Owning Location and sort by Vehicle #.

PURCHDATE - Group by purchase date and sort by Vehicle #.*

GROUNDDATE - Group by grounding date and sort by Vehicle #.*

ELIGDATE - Group by eligibility date and sort by Vehicle #.*

* The sort options marked with an asterisk require more processing time of the computer than the other choices This is because they involve data fields that are not part of the index structure of the Vehicle File.

10. PRINT/
DISPLAY

Enter:

P = Print a hard copy of this report on your terminal's assigned printer. See Edit Terminal Records Chapter for instructions on how to assign printers.

D = Display this report on your terminal screen. Seethe General Data Entry Instructions Chapter on how to control the screen display.
