Use the Print Drop Charges program to:

Drop charges can apply between 2 individual locations, between a zone and a location, or between two zones. To simplify data entry, owned and foreign locations can be assigned to a "zone". Thus, if the drop charge from a location is the same rate to 15 other locations, the 15 locations could all be considered in the same "zone". Only one entry would be needed in Edit Drop Charges rather than 15 separate entries.

To access the Print Drop Charges program, type PRTDRP (RET) at any menu "OPTION:" field or the appropriate line number on the Print Rate Control File menu. The screen will then display:

Enter data as follows:

1. LOCATION Enter up to 6 alphanumeric characters to indicate the Location Code. The report will list drop charges from the location entered. Press (RET) to default to ALL Locations.

EXAMPLE: Type TUS (RET)

2. ZONE An alternative to requesting a specific location in Field 1, is to enter a Drop Zone in this field. The report will list drop charges from the zone entered. Press (RET) to default to ALL zones.

3. EFFECTIVE DATE Using your selected date format, enter an effective date for the drop charges. Press (RET) to default to the current day meaning that drop charges in effect today will be listed.

4. INCL FUTURE CHANGES This field allows you to include drop charge records with an effective date in the future. Enter:

Y = Yes, include Drop Charge records with effective dates in the future.

N = No, don't include records with future effective dates.

EXAMPLE: Type Y (RET)

5. PRINT NOTES This field allows you to include notes from the Drop Charge records. Enter:

Y = Yes, include the notes from the Drop Charge records.

N = No, don't include the notes from the Drop Charge records.

6. PRINT/
DISPLAY P = Print a hard copy of this report on your terminal's assigned printer. See the Edit Terminal Records Chapter on how to assign your printers.

D = Display this report on you terminal screen. See the General Data Entry Instructions Chapter on how to control the screen display.

Notes about the report:

The format of the report includes the following columns:

From          This is the Location or zone requested. Drop charges from this location or zone are listed.
To            This is the Location or zone that is the destination.
Sch           Privilege Schedule (special drop charge rates for Privilege Codes)
Cat           Drop Category which can be assigned by Class Code.
Eff Date      Effective Date
Days/charge   Four columns showing the charge based on the number of rental days
Term Date     Termination Date - the date the Drop Charge terminates.
