Use this program to to convert the location code on reservations from one location to another as of a certain pick up date.

This can be used when a location is closing and the future reservations will be handled by another location. Or, the location code (for whatever reason) needs to be changed to another code.

For guidance in setting up a new location, refer to the chapters Clone Locations and/or Overview - Adding a New Location.

To access this program: To access the Convert Location Code program, type CVTLOC (RET) at any menu "OPTION:" field or the appropriate line number on the System Configuration menu. The screen will then display:

Enter data as follows:

1. OLD LOC CODE

Enter up to 6 alphanumeric characters representing the original Location Code that now should be changed.

EXAMPLE: Type TUS (RET).

2. NEW LOC CODE

Enter up to 6 alphanumeric characters representing the new Location Code that should be used as the pick up and/or return location. (Return location is changed whether or not it is the same as the pick up location.)

EXAMPLE: Type SNA (RET).

3. RES START DATE

Enter the date when the change should be in effect. Reservations from this pickup date forward will have their location changed.

EXAMPLE: Type 040114 (RET).

4. CONVERT RA'S
Enter:
Y = Yes, convert the renting and/or due in location codes on all RAs currently open.
N = No, do not convert the open RAs at this time.
EXAMPLE: Type Y (RET)

5. CONVERT RES'S
Enter:
Y = Yes, convert the pick up and/or return location codes on reservations with a pick up date on or after the date entered in Field 3.
N = No, do not convert the reservations at this time.
EXAMPLE: Type Y (RET)

The screen will then display:
