This program is used to:
Printer controls are the commands sent by CARS+ to set print characteristics on various brands of printers. These commands in effect translate print commands to enable the printers to properly print CARS+ reports and rental agreements.
To access
this program, type PRTPTR (RET) at any menu "OPTION:"field or the appropriate line number from the Print Rental Control File menu. The
screen will display as follows:

1. START PRINTER TYPE |
Enter up to 8 alphanumeric characters representing a type of printer that will be the beginning printer type included in the report. EXAMPLE: Type HPLASER (RET) |

2. END PRINTER TYPE |
Enter up to 8 alphanumeric characters representing a type of printer that will be the ending printer type included in the report. EXAMPLE: Type HPLASER (RET) |

3. PRINTER CODE |
Enter up to 2 characters representing a control code or press (RET) to default to ALL printer control codes. EXAMPLE: Type 1B (RET) |

4. PRINT/DISPLAY |
P = Print a hard copy of this report on your terminal's assigned printer. See the Edit Terminal Records Chapter for instructions on how to assign printers. D = Display this report on this screen. See the General Data Entry Instructions Chapter on how to control the screen display. EXAMPLE: Type P (RET) |
