Whenever a car wash is entered into CARS+, a record is written to the Vehicle History File. The Vehicle Wash History Report examines those records and furnishes a report based on the parameters entered by the user.

To access the Vehicle Wash History Report, type WASH (RET) at any menu "OPTION:" field or the appropriate line number on the History/Maintenance Menu. The screen will then display:

Enter data as follows:

1. STARTING DATE

Using the selected date format, enter the starting date. The date range refers to the date the vehicles were washed (date of Car Wash Entry.) Press RET to default to the current day.

EXAMPLE: Press (RET)

2. STARTING TIME

Using the selected time format, enter the starting time. Press RET to default to the beginning of the day.

EXAMPLE: Press (RET)

3 END DATE

Using the selected date format, enter the ending date. Press RET to default to the current day.

EXAMPLE: Press (RET)

4. END TIME

Using the selected time format, enter the ending time. Press RET to default to the end of the day.

EXAMPLE: Type 1100 (RET)

5. EMPLOYEE

Enter up to 6 alphanumeric characters to select a single Employee code. This will restrict the report to only those wash records for this employee. Press RET to default to All Employees.

EXAMPLE: Type MIKE (RET).

6. LOCATION

Indicate the location by entering:

1. Up to 6 alphanumeric characters to select RAs for a single location.

2. A Group Name representing several locations. (The first character of a Group Name is the plus sign "+".)

3. Press RETURN to accept the default of "ALL" locations.

EXAMPLE: Type TUS (RET).

7. DETAIL/ SUMMARY

Enter 1 alpha character to select the report format.

D = Detailed Report
S = Summary Report

When run in summary mode and displayed (rather than printed), the summary grid remains on the screen and is updated automatically using the same refresh frequency used by the On-line Reservation Display program.

The report summary grid is a page with the location's time periods on the X axis and the daily totals and employee codes on the Y axis. Each cell shows the number of vehicles that were washed by each employee in each time period.

When run in detailed mode, the Notes entered on the Car Wash entry screen are shown on the report.

8. PRINT/ DISPLAY

Enter:

P = Print a hard copy of this report on the terminal's assigned printer. See the Edit Terminal Records Chapter for instructions on how to assign printers and send reports as e-mails.

D = Display this report on the terminal screen. When displayed, the summary grid remains on the screen and is updated automatically using the same refresh frequency used by the On-line Reservation Display program.

9. SORT ORDER

This field controls how the data is sorted on the report. Enter:

E = By Employee

V = By vehicle number.

D = By wash date and time.

EXAMPLE: Type E (RET)

The screen will then display:

Notes about this report:

A subtotal is shown after each change in the primary sort when sorted by employee or vehicle number.
