Page two is used to select the items that will be displayed when reservation requests are requested.

Use the F/8 function key to go from page one to Page two.

General Instructions
  • With twenty six possible columns of data, there are more fields that are select-able on this screen than can possibly fit on the standard 80 column computer screen. The Res Display program will present as many columns of data that are selected here until the 80 characters are consumed. The final column displayed may be truncated at the 80th column position. As a result, "experiment" with the number of columns that can be displayed.
  • The renter's name is always the first column of data displayed. This cannot be changed.
  • The additional columns of data are selected for display by placing a number after the field description on this screen. See the table below for a full definition for each of the types of data available and the abbreviation that will appear at the top of the column on the Res Display screen.
  • The number entered will indicate the order in which the columns will display. For example, placing the number "1" after Date Time Out on line 5 will mean that the first column of data displayed for open reservations after the renter's name will be the reservation's pick up date and time. The item with the number "2" will appear as the next column displayed and so on.
  • The default record in this file will have the word "ALL" in Field 1, Location. This record cannot be deleted, but it can be edited.
  • Additional records can be created for individual rental locations by entering a Location Code in Field 1. As a result, the reservation display can be made different for airport locations as compared to suburb locations where arriving airline and flight number are not important. At this time, the first field will not accept a Location Group Code.
  • Remember, there are two records (pages) to this screen. The second page allows for different fields to be displayed for reservation request records.

PP?
This field that indicates if there is enough information on the reservation to pre-print a RA. This field displays a "Y" if the renter's driver's license has not expired and it has been scanned.

An alternative is that this field displays a "Y" if the reservation has either a current credit card or it is a direct bill, and it also has a current drivers license. To use this alternative logic, ask your Support Dept. to set up GVT record EXPPP.

User tip:
The field "Preprint Incomplete" in the Edit Misc Control Fields (page 4, Field 18) and in Edit Locations (page 5, Field 20) may override the ability to preprint. If either of those fields is set to "N", the preprint is not allowed unless ALL
required data has been entered on the RA (ex. date of birth).

Therefore, it is possible that the Reservation on Res Display will be marked with a "Y" in the Preprint column, but they will not be able to preprint the RA. If that is the case, the following message will display:
CUSTOMER INFORMATION IS INCOMPLETE, RA CANNOT BE PRE-PRINTED PRESS RETURN
