Some rental operations use multiple parking lots for available vehicles, and their rental counters are restricted to selecting vehicles from one or more lots that are designated as holding 'rentable' vehicles.
To access this program: To access the Edit Stall Numbers program, type EDTSTL (RET) at any menu "OPTION:" field or the appropriate line number on the Location Control Files menu. The screen will then display:

Enter data as follows:

1. LOT NUMBER |
Enter up to 2 alphanumeric characters representing the Lot number where this stall is located. This Lot number must already be set up in Edit Lot Numbers. EXAMPLE: Type 1 (RET) |

2. STALL NUMBER |
Enter up to 6 alphanumeric characters to indicate the parking stall for this vehicle. EXAMPLE: Type B12 (RET) |

3. PREFERRED SERVICE |
This field defines a stall as being a VIP renter's stall (Gold Stall in Hertz terms). If Gold Service is turned on for the opening location, some stalls at that location must be defined as being "Preferred Service" stalls in order for rental agreements to be VIP pre-printed. At Gold Service locations, VIP pre-prints must have a vehicle assigned to them which is currently parked in a Preferred Service stall. EXAMPLE: Type N (RET) |
