This program is used by a Thermeon customer with operations in Mexico.

In Mexico the value added tax (known as IVA) is payable when the RA has been paid for; not necessarily when it closes. Therefore, on RAs that have a balance due at the time of Close, the IVA collected is “pending” and needs to credit an IVA pending type of GL account rather than a “payable” account.

The balance due on the RA may be caused by any of the following:

Later on, when payments are received for these RAs, the amount the payment that makes up the IVA tax being paid has to be recorded. This program is used for entering these payments.

As the data is entered and saved for each payment, data in the RA’s RA Charge File is accessed. The following data for each RA is temporarily stored for this report:

The above data is shown on a report when exiting this program.

To access the program, type IVARPT (RET) at any menu "OPTION:" field or the appropriate number on the Additional Accounting Programs submenu of the Rental Accounting Menu. The screen will then display:

Records are sorted by the IVA tax percentage and then sub-sorted by the RA number.
