All vehicle records may be viewed through this program.
Edits are controlled by the Lic. Flt. Lease Flag field of the Vehicle Record ( page 2). Vehicle records with a code of "C" in that field cannot be edited (see the "User Tip" below). Vehicle records where that field is blank may be edited through this program.
User tip: For vehicle records with code "C" in the Lic. Fleet Lease Flag Field, your system can be configured to allow edits to the Grounding Date, Grounding Odometer, and Tag Expiration fields while in restricted mode. To have your system configured in this manner, contact Thermeon's Customer Support Dept. and request that GVT record "EXPVEHED" be set up on your system.
User tip: To grant access so that users can look at vehicle records and not edit any of them, put the program “Look Only Vehicle Inventory” (Look Only Menu) on their menu instead of Vehicle Inventory Control.
To access the Restricted Vehicle Inventory program, type RINV (RET) at any menu "OPTION:" field or the appropriate line number from the Fleet menu. The screen will display in exactly the same way as the Vehicle Inventory Control program does.
