Use this program to change an existing vehicle Class Code to a new Class Code. This program is often used when a car rental operation changes it's brand affiliation and as a result must change Class Codes from it's former brand to the codes used by it's new brand. The program will:
Create new Class Code records in the Vehicle Class Code File
Change all references to the old Code in all other files to that of the new Code
Delete all references to the Old Code in the Class Code file
NOTE: This program was originally designed for creating new Class Codes that are not currently in the system. Do not create the new class in the Edit Class Codes program before running this program. As stated above, the Class Code File is the first file that will have records written to it for the new code that is entered on this screen.
But this program can also be used to change vehicles from one existing class to that of another existing class. When this is the case, the program does NOT delete all references to the Old Class Code.
Records in the following files that have a reference to the Class Code in the "Current' field will be re-written with the Class Code in the "New "field.
