Use this program to:

This program is intended for the purpose of being displayed whenever rental agents are not actively involved in transactions. Your system can be configured to refresh the screen automatically at set intervals with new reservations that are received and to drop those that have been filled. The data can also be refreshed at any time by pressing a function key.

Reservation information included in the display is as follows:

Flight information
Customer Type for non-Hertz operations; for Hertz operations:level of service (such as Gold, Platinum, etc.)
Customer name
CARS+ Reservation #
Pickup date/time
Vehicle Class
CDPID #
Source Code
Indication of insurance voucher
Indication of delivery arranged

Request reservations (unconfirmed reservations) can be displayed separately.

Set up: The following fields in the control files listed below affect the way that On-Line Reservation Display works. To configure it to your preference, enter the appropriate data in the following fields.

EDIT LOCATIONS

Page 2, Field # 38: Refresh Rate: For the On-Line Reservation Display program, enter the number of minutes that are allowed to elapsed before the system automatically refreshes the screen display. This field will accept up tor 2 numeric characters. For example, entering "15" in this field means that the screen of the On-Line Reservation Display program will be automatically refreshed every 15 minutes.

Page 2, Field # 39: Hilite Hours: For the On-Line Reservation Display program, enter the number of hours of reservations that should be high-lighted on the screen. For example, entering "4" in this field means that reservations from the current time through the next 4 hours will be high-lighted.

EDIT MISCELLANEOUS CONTROL FIELDS

Page 1, Field # 32: No Show Age in Hours: Enter up to 2 numeric characters to indicate the number of hours a reservation can be past due before you consider it a no-show. For On-Line Reservation Display, this means that unfilled reservations will drop off of the screen if this number of hours has gone by since the pickup time. For example, entering "3" in this field means that a reservation with a pickup time of 12 noon that goes unfilled will drop off of the screen at 3 p.m. In addition, when the res is past due, it will blink. (Or, ask Thermeon's Customer Support Dept. to configure your system in such a manner that the past due reservations are still listed, but do not blink.)

User tip: When “limited access” logic is set up for certain users, this is one of the programs affected. Refer to the chapter of the manual titled Apx – Limited Access for details.

To access the program do one of the following:

Data is displayed as follows:

This screen displays 20 open reservations at a time for the next 24 hours in order by pickup date and time. Use the F8 key to scroll to the next 20 reservations. Use the F4 key to re-start the display (scrolling backwards is not allowed.)

Blinking reservations: These are at the top of the list and are past due (potential no-shows). Once the past due reservations are older than the number of hours defined in the No Show Age field of the Edit Miscellaneous File (minimum 1 hour), they will drop off of the screen. (Shown above in bold italics with the assumption that the current time is 9:30 am and the no shows are set to drop off after 2 hours.) Note: Your system can be configured so that the past due reservations do not blink. If you prefer this setting, contact Thermeon's Customer Support Dept. Your system can also be configured so that you can change the starting time of the reservations displayed to an earlier time. See details about this below under the “F4” key in the Function Keys section of this chapter.

Highlighted reservations: These are reservations coming up within your high lighted window time defined in the Edit Location file. (Shown above in bold.)

Columns: The following columns are on the display:

Ln Line number
CusTy For all operations other than Hertz:Customer type for renters with customer records
#1 For Hertz operations, this shows the first 2 characters of the res-notes (where the "gold" flag is stored)
Flight Airline code and flight number if applicable (See note below)
Driver Renter's name
Res# CARS+ Reservations number
Pickup Pickup date and time
Class Reserved vehicle Class
CDPID# Corporate discount plan number (whether issued locally or by corporate)
SRC Shows the first 4 characters of the Source Code for this reservation
In I = The Reservation has an insurance voucher
D
= The Reservation is set up for delivery of the vehicle.
SD For Hertz Brazil, this column refers to the scanning of the renters documents.
"OK" means the customer record shows the date the documents were scanned.Otherwise, the column is blank.

Note: Like the Reservation Manifest, if airlines are assigned to the user's drawer, data will be filtered. Only those reservations with the assigned airlines will display. Reservations without flight information will appear on the display for all drawers assigned to the pick-up location. If airlines are not assigned to drawers, all reservations for a pick-up location will appear for all drawers assigned to that location.

SHORTCUT TO OPENING A RA:

You can select a reservation from this screen by entering the appropriate line number at the "OPTION:" field. After pressing (RET), the RA Open screen will appear and the reservation information is passed to it.

FUNCTION KEYS:

F1 = Switches to the RA Open screen without any reservation data being passed.

F2 = Switches to a blank RA Close screen

F3 = Switches to a blank Reservation screen

F4 =Initially asks: "SHOW 'VIP RESERVATIONS' ONLY? (Y/N)

Y = List only those reservations where the renter's Customer Type is set to "VIP" type.

A field in the Edit Location file can be configured to automatically refresh the screen at a set interval or you can refresh it at any time by pressing "F4".

Displaying more than 1 day: Reservations that are more than 24 hours into the future can be viewed by responding to the next prompt:

ENTER NUMBER OF DAYS OF RES'S TO DISPLAY OR PRESS RETURN TO ACCEPT VALUE _1_

The default value for this is 1 day. If you change the value, the new value will then be the default until you exit the On-Line Res Display program.

Displaying earlier reservations: A field in the control file defines the number of hours an open reservation will remain on the screen. For example, let’s assume that field is set to 3 hours at an airport location. When flights are delayed for more than 3 hours, this means that the reservations for customers on those flights will have dropped off the screen. Your system can be configured so that a third prompt is displayed which allows you to change the starting time of the display:

ENTER START TIME OR PRESS RETURN TO ACCEPT xxxx_______

(where xxxx is the current time used to start the display. )
