Use this program to verify that Hold Codes have been applied to vehicles which have past due service procedures.

This program compares the maintenance Hold Codes in effect on vehicles to the Vehicle History past due Service Codes. A field in the Service Code record is used to specify which Hold Code corresponds to the service. When this program is run, if a past due Service is found and the Hold Code has NOT yet been applied to the vehicle, the Hold Code will be applied and a corresponding Vehicle History “97” record will be created. (If a past due Service is found and the Hold Code has already been applied to the vehicle, nothing is done.)

To access the program, type HCMAINT (RET) at any menu "OPTION:" field or the appropriate number on the Hold Code Sub-Menu (History/Maintenance Menu). The screen will then display:

Enter data as follows:

1. START DATE

Using your selected date format, enter the Starting Date. Press RET to default to “EARLIEST”.

Using your selected date format, enter the Ending Date. Press RET to default to “LATEST”.

Enter up to 6 alphanumeric characters to indicate the starting Vehicle number. Press RET to default to the “FIRST” vehicle on file (excluding sold vehicles).

Enter up to 6 alphanumeric characters to indicate the ending Vehicle number. Press RET to default to the “LAST” vehicle on file (excluding sold vehicles).

5. CLASS

To limit the report to a particular class of vehicles, enter up to 4 alphanumeric characters representing the class.

To include all vehicle classes, press (RET) to accept the default of "ALL."

6. MAKE

To limit the report to a particular make of vehicles, enter up to 8 alphanumeric characters representing the make.

To include all vehicle makes, press (RET) to accept the default of "ALL."

  1. Up to 6 alphanumeric characters to select a single location.
  2. A Group Name representing several locations (see the Chapter Edit Group Names for a discussion on location groups). Remember, the first character of a Group Name is the plus sign "+".
  3. "ALL" to include all locations

9. STATUS

To limit the program to vehicles in a particular status, enter 1 alpha character to select only those vehicles currently in that status. By design, sold vehicles will never be considered by this program. Press RET to default to all statuses except sold.

Enter up to 2 numeric characters to indicate the Starting Service Code or press (RET) to default to Service Code 01.
