I. INTRODUCTION

This chapter outlines the set up for handling VIP type customers in a special manner by the following programs:

The system can be configured so that a pop-up window is called from Reservations and RA Open whenever a VIP type customer record is on the transaction. (See section II.B below.)

The VIP type customers are noted on the Reservation Manifest.

Additionally, this set up can be used for the "Name in Lights" feature. A file of reservation data for those VIP type customers is exported from CARS+ in such a way that it updates a lighted display board at the rental counter. Contact Thermeon's Customer Support Dept. for more information.


II. SET UP (Non-Hertz Operations)

B. GOLD SERVICE MESSAGES
In Edit Gold Service Messages (EDITGLD) a record must be created for each Customer Type designated as one that is a VIP type.

The phrase entered in the Description field will show on the Reservation Manifest.
The Service Level must be "A".
All other fields are optional.
