Use the Update Hourly Rates program to:

User tip: For weekend rates that are calculated at a weekend daily rate, the hourly charge is based on the weekend daily rate (not the rate in the "Day" column.) Weekend package rates are ignored by this program.

To access the Update Hourly Rates program, type CHGHOUR(RET) at any menu "OPTION:" field or the appropriate line number on the Rate Control Files menu. The screen will then display:

Enter data as follows:

1. RATE SET

Enter up to 2 alphanumeric characters to indicate the Rate Set whose rates are to altered or press Return to default to all Rate Sets.

EXAMPLE: Type (RET)

2. BEGINNING RATE CODE

Enter up to 5 alphanumeric characters to indicate the first Rate Code whose hourly rate is to be altered or press Return to default to all Rate Codes.

EXAMPLE: Type WEEKLY (RET)

3. ENDING RATE CODE

Enter up to 5 alphanumeric characters to indicate the last Rate Code whose hourly rate is to be altered or press Return to default to all Rate Codes.

EXAMPLE: Type WKEND (RET)

4. EFFECTIVE DATE

Using your selected date format, enter a cutoff date for this change. All Rate records with an Effective Date and Time earlier than that entered in Fields 4 and 5 will have their hourly rate modified. Or, press F3 to make this field blank so that all rates will be selected regardless of date.

EXAMPLE: Type 050108 (RET)

5. EFFECTIVE TIME

Using your selected time format, enter a cutoff time for this change. All Rate records with an Effective Date and Time earlier than that entered in Fields 4 and 5 will have their hourly rate modified. This field cannot be blank.

EXAMPLE: Type 0000 (RET)

User tip: Leaving the date field blank and entering "0000" in the time field means all records are selected. Rates updated will begin with those currently in effect as well as those going forward to the date and time entered in Fields 4 and 5. Rates flagged with terminated or purge statuses are ignored by this program.

6. PERCENT OF DAILY

Enter the percent of the daily rate that hourly rates are to be adjusted to.

To remove hourly rates, enter zero.

For example:

if hourly rates are:   	    enter:
1/3 of the daily rate 33
1/4 of the daily rate 25
1/5 of the daily rate 20
to be removed 0

EXAMPLE: Type 50 (RET).

7. ROUNDING ENDING TO

This field allows you to control how the program will round up the hourly rates after calculating them with the above percent. Enter one of the following:

1 =      	round up to the nearest penny.
5 = round up to the nearest five cents.
10 = round up to the nearest dime.
25 = round up to the nearest quarter of a dollar.
50 = round up to the nearest half dollar.
100 = round up to the nearest dollar.

The screen will then display:
