Use this program to:

• Change a single customer’s type code.

To access the Change Customer Type Code program, type CHGCUSTY (RET) at any "OPTION:" field or the appropriate line number on the Customer Maintenance Menu. The screen will then display:

Enter data as follows:

1. CUST NO	Enter up to 6 alphanumeric characters representing the customer number. EXAMPLE: Type 122020 (RET) The name on the customer record along with the current customer type will display below.
2. NEW TYPE	Enter up to 5 alphanumeric characters representing the new customer type code. EXAMPLE: Type BAD (RET) User tip: If the Miscellaneous Control record defines that customer types must be validated, the customer type entered must already exist in the Customer Type Code file.
