This field defaults to the "class" value from the Model Code. Press RET to accept this default value or enter up to 4 alphanumeric characters to indicate the appropriate asset type (class code). (A corresponding class code must exist in the Class Code file before the code can be entered here.) EXAMPLE: Press (RET) |
| 6. CURR STATUS |
Enter any existing Status Code which has either an available or non-available Status Type. EXAMPLE: Type A (RET) |
| 7. FUEL TYPE |
Enter a single alpha character to indicate the type of fuel used by
this vehicle. This field may have default data supplied by the Model Code File. For non-vehicle assets, it will typically be "N" which is used for trailers and other rentable devices that do not charge for fuel (fuel calculation logic is made inactive). Example: Type N_((RET). |
| 8. PRICING CODE |
Enter up to 2 alphanumeric characters to indicate which pricing code
applies to this unit. This field may have default data supplied by
the Model Code File. The Pricing Code is a required field. This code
is used to associate each unit with a specific option rate. EXAMPLE: Type G (RET) |
| 9. POST CODE |
Enter 1 alphanumeric character to select which General Ledger posting table is to be used to process revenue generated by this unit. This field may have default data supplied by the Model Code File. EXAMPLE: Type 1 (RET) |
| 10. ASSET IND |
This field is populated from the Model Code record field "Inv Option'. If the field in the Model Code is blank, this field will have a "N". If the field in the Model Code has an Option Code entered, this field is populated with "S". |
| 11. ASSET OPTION CODE |
This field is used to designate the Option Code for this unit.
Each time the unit is rented, the corresponding Option Charge will be
automatically applied to the RA. EXAMPLE: Type (RET) |
| 12 OWNING CITY |
Enter up to 6 alphanumeric characters to indicate the location code which owns the unit. EXAMPLE: Type TUS (RET) |

Once the entry is saved, several fields on the right side of the screen will display data about it when the record is brought up again. To bring up a record, type the unit number in Field 1 or press F2 (next record) from the OPTION field to scroll through asset records one at a time.
