Some of the major programs on this menu are:
RESERVATIONS - This program creates advance reservations for vehicle rentals. Reservations can be as simple as the customer's name, pickup and return date and time, class of vehicle and rate or a reservation can hold enough detail to shorten the check-out procedure to a matter of seconds. Reservations can be made for a specific vehicle or for a class of vehicle. A restricted version of the program is available on RESMENU2 and a look-only version is available on the LOOK menu.
ON-LINE RES DISPLAY - This program to display open reservations for the next 24 hours (or beyond) as well as late reservations. It is intended to be displayed whenever rental agents are
not actively involved in transactions. The system can be configured to
refresh the screen
automatically at set intervals with new reservations that are received
and to
drop those that have been filled. The data can also be refreshed at any
time by pressing a function key. Past-due and immediate reservations are highlighted.
RESERVATION MANIFEST - This report is designed to be used by the rental counter. Reservations for a single day or multiple days can be listed in several sort orders to aid in the counter activity.
The RESERVATION EDIT REPORT is designed to access reservations not by their Pickup Date and Time, but by the Modification Date and Time (the Modification date of new reservations is the same as the Create Date/Time). The primary purpose of this report is to provide an edit list of reservations entered into the system within a given time frame.
RESERVATION SOURCE REPORT - This report sorts and counts reservations by Source Code. This should not be confused with the Source Analysis Report which appears on the Month-End Menu.
NO-SHOW PROCESSING - When a customer with a reservation fails to appear at the appointed pickup time, a NO SHOW is created. This program is used to mark these reservations as "No Shows" and release any reserved vehicle for rental by another customer. We suggest that you mark missed reservations as NO SHOWS rather than leaving them as OPEN. This will enable you to print an accurate Source Analysis Report which indicates the percentage of NO SHOWS for each source code.
