The following programs automatically update the status count in the Class Code File:
RA Open
RA Close
Reservation (when reserving a selected vehicle)
No-Show Processing
Vehicle Exchange
Batch Open (under certain circumstances)
Batch Close (under certain circumstances)
Vehicle History Update
However, when you make changes directly to the vehicle record in the Inventory File, the Class Code file is NOT updated. Therefore, when you perform any of the following tasks, the status counts will go out of balance.
Adding a new vehicle to the fleet.
Adding a foreign vehicle to the fleet.
In order to correct the status counts after performing any of the above tasks, the Update Class Code Status program must be run. This program makes a pass through the complete Inventory File and resets the Class Code File status counts.
To access the Update Class Code Status program, type RECOUNT (RET) at any menu "OPTION:" field or the appropriate line number on the Fleet menu. The screen will then display:
