Edit opening fields has a procedure to allow the user to change the
reservation when the wrong reservation was linked to an open RA. The
difference between these two, is that this feature will keep the form
of payment information and any tokens and authorizations that were taken at the time of rental. Where as using Edit Opening Fields, the user
must first Void the original RA which will reverse all authorizations
and cancel any tokens that were made with payment services.
Example: Using the example from the screenshot below, a user obtained Calvin Smith's Drivers license and credit card information using John Smith's reservation (RES#156559). This client is using our payment services and got a hold and an authorization on Calvin's credit card and saved the rental agreement (RA#AB123789). Now the user recognized that the wrong reservation was used in this open RA and needs to make the change to Calvin Smith's reservation (RES#156883). This feature will make the reservation change and keep all FOP information and any authorizations and tokens made from our payments services.
