Use this program to:

• Preprint an RA based on data in a reservation

CARS+ offers different ways to create an RA record in CARS+:

• At the rental counter while interfacing with the client = this is done through RA Open. (An on-line program)
• After the fact = after the renter has left enter a contract that was manually filled out off the system through Batch Open RA.
• Before the renter arrives at the counter = this is done through this program, Preprint RA.

The Preprint RA program behaves just like the on-line RA Open program with the following exceptions:

1. Many of the pop-up questions that occur in RA Open do not appear in Preprint RA. (The renter is not available to answer them.)
2. The F1 OR the F4 Save key creates a preprint RA -- but with an open Preprinted RA (Void-P status) you must use the F4 key within the On-Line RA Open to re-save the RA.

NOTE: So as not to confuse existing users, the F4 key in On-Line Open can still be used be used to create preprinted RAs.

User tip: Fields in Edit Misc. Control Fields and in Edit Locations define how the preprint logic works. Refer to the fields:

To access the program, type PREPRINT (RET) at any menu "OPTION:" field or the appropriate line number on the RA Menu. The screen will then display:
