Create groups of vehicle classes so that certain reports can be run for a group instead of for each individual class. For example, you may want to combine all 2 door and 4 door compact and midsize vehicles into one group.
Reports that accept Class Groups are:
Rental Activity Report
Vehicles Due In Report
Vehicle Status Report
Questionable RA Report
Class Availability Report
RA Daily Revenue Report
User tip: The Class Availability Report can by run in Class Group mode. If run that way, the report summarizes the data by Class Group rather than by each individual Class. It is highly recommended that all vehicle classes defined in a class group use the same Warning Percentage values. If this is not the case, the Class Availability Report may display unexpected Warning Percentage values. Please refer to the section titled "NOTES ON SETTING UP METROPLEX GROUPS AND CLASS GROUPS" of the manual chapter Introduction to Fleet Planning for details.
Like the Location Groups program, Class Groups can be set up so that a group can be a member of another group.
The Fleet Snapshot Report has a field for requesting a summary by Class Group.
User tip: A field in the User Access Record can be used to restrict the user to 'view only' mode. In that mode, no records can be added, edited, or deleted.
