Through the use of the Edit Terminal Records program, each VDT is assigned a default cash drawer. If the VDT is also defined as not having shared usage, all monies handled will be logged against the default drawer. Occasionally, it is helpful to be able to sign on the system and work with a drawer other than your default. This is especially true when doing batch data entry. This program allows the user to temporarily change the drawer assigned to the user's VDT. Any change made through this program will remain in effect until a second change is made or the user logs off.

To access the Change Default Drawer program, type CHGDRW (RET) at any menu "OPTION:" field or the appropriate line number on the System Configuration menu. The screen will then display your default drawer assignment.
