Use this program to:

Limit the number of one-way rentals either from or to a location by class. This can be used to:

a. Prevent too many large trucks from being rented one way to a location which has limited storage space.

b. Prevent all units for a class from being rented away from a location on one-way rentals.

If a potential transaction (reservation or rental) will cause either of the following, the transaction will be forbidden unless the user can override this block (the override is the same field in Edit User Access that allows a user to book an overbooked class):

The one-way rental will cause the renting location's anticipated fleet count to go below the Low Limit on the return date. The warning message is as follows:

25FT'S ONE WAY FROM TUS, RESTRICTED

The one-way rental will cause the closing location's anticipated fleet count to go above the High Limit on the return date. The warning message is as follows:

25FT'S ONE WAY TO TUS, RESTRICTED

Note: Both a Low limit and High limit do not need to be set up on a single record. If only parking space is an issue, set up only a High Limit. Limits do not need to be set on all classes within a single location.

NOTE: Records can also be imported from a file maintained by a spreadsheet program. See the chapter on Import Ideal Fleet.

To access the Edit Ideal Fleet program, type EDTIDEAL (RET) at any menu "OPTION:" field or the appropriate line number on the Fleet Planning menu. The screen will then display:
