This program is intended for use by those CARS+ users who have a multi-licensee, multi-posting company set up (a shared system.) It allows users to create and edit locations whose posting company number matches that of the user's default location posting company number. And, conversely, it prevents users from creating or editing locations whose posting company does not match their default location's posting company.
The posting company is attached to the default login Location as specified in the user's Terminal Record. Therefore, this logic is dependent upon the fact that users who are assigned this program must be set up in such a way that they do not have access to the Edit Terminal Records program nor the Edit User Access File program (which allow them to change their default location or default company respectively.)
To access the Restricted Edit Locations program, type REDITLOC (RET) at any menu "OPTION:" field or the appropriate line number on the Location Control Files menu.
