Saving a transaction in this program creates a NEW CLOSED record in the Non-Rev Movement file (it opens and closes a ticket in a single action). This program DOES NOT create open Trip Tickets. The closed record can be brought up on the Non-Rev Movement screen to be viewed.
To access the program, type SIMTRIP (RET) at any menu "OPTION:"field or the appropriate number on the CARRENT Trip Ticket programs Menu. The screen will then display:

Enter data as follows:

1. VEHICLE # |
Enter up to 6 alphanumeric characters representing the Vehicle involved. EXAMPLE: Type 50209 Once the vehicle number is entered, the current odometer reading and Location fields are populated. |

2. OUT KMS/MLS |
Enter the current odometer reading of the vehicle at the time of the entry. The default value displayed here is the current odometer reading from the vehicle record. Press (RET) to accept the default. EXAMPLE: Press (RET) |

3a. OUT DATE/ TIME |
This field defaults to the current date and time but can be changed if necessary. EXAMPLE: Press (RET) |

4. OUT LOC |
This field displays the vehicle's current location and cannot be changed. |

5. IN LOC |
Enter up to 6 alphanumeric characters representing the location where the vehicle is going. NOTE: The first 3 characters of the "In Location" must match the first 3 characters of the "Out Location". That is, this program can be used only for transfers within the same city. EXAMPLE: Type TUS15 (RET) |

6a. REASON CODE |
Enter a valid Non-Rev Reason Code. This is a required field. EXAMPLE: Type RT (RET) |

6b. STAT (STATUS) |
This field defaults to the status that is defined in the Reason Code record. It may be changed, but cannot be an "available" type status. EXAMPLE: Press (RET) |

6c. DESC |
This field displays the description of the Reason Code and cannot be changed here. |

Upon pressing F1 to save the entry, the next Non-Rev number from the Location record of the "In Location" will be assigned to the transaction. As with other transactions in CARS+, if this is the most recent movement of the vehicle, the current location, odometer, status code, and status date/time in the vehicle record will be updated,
