Use this program to:

• Create records to handle error codes received on Seamless rate requests.

From time to time an error code may be returned from OKC when a request for a Seamless rate is made for a walk-up rental. This program is used to define a description of the error code and specify a CARS+ rate product that will be used in place of the Seamless rate.

Refer to the chapter Overview - Seamless Reservations and RAs for more information about setting up and using Seamless logic.

To access the program, type EDTSMLER (RET) at any menu "OPTION:" field or the appropriate number on the Hertz Control Files Menu. The screen will then display:

Enter data as follows:

1. ERROR CODE	Enter up to 8 alphanumeric characters to indicate the Error Code. EXAMPLE: Type A112 (RET)
2. DESCRIPTION	Enter up to 50 alphanumeric characters for a description of the error code. . EXAMPLE: Type SEAMLESS ERROR - USING CARS+ RATE (RET)
3. SMLERR RESP	When the error code received from OKC matches a record in this field, and there is "01" in this field, the rate specified in the field below is used on the RA and the rental will not be a Seamless RA. EXAMPLE: Type 01 (RET)
4. SMLERR RATE	Enter up to 12 alphanumeric characters representing the CARS+ rate product that should be used. EXAMPLE: Type LRD (RET)
