To access the program, type CLONEMTX (RET) at any menu "OPTION:" field or the appropriate number on the Damage Tracking Sub-Menu. The screen will then display:

1. SOURCE MODEL CODE |
Enter up to 6 alphanumeric characters representing the Model Code to be used as the source to clone records from. EXAMPLE: Type TAURUS (RET) |

2. SOURCE MODEL YEAR |
Enter the 2 digit model year. EXAMPLE: Type 03 (RET) If the Model Code with the Model Year entered do not exist in the Model Code file, a warning message will be displayed on the screen and the data entered in Fields 1 and 2 will be erased from the screen. |

3. NEW MODEL CODE |
Enter up to 6 alphanumeric characters representing the Model Code for which records will be created. EXAMPLE: Type TAURUS (RET) |

4. NEW MODEL YEAR |
Enter the 2-digit model year for the new record. EXAMPLE: Type 04 (RET) Like the data entered in Fields 1 and 2, if the Model Code with the Model Year entered do not exist in the Model Code file, a warning message will be displayed on the screen and the data entered in Fields 3 and 4 will be erased from the screen. |

5. EFFECTIVE DATE |
Using your selected date format, enter the date that this record becomes effective. EXAMPLE: Type 040104 (RET) The Damage Matrix file is examined to see if a record already exists under this Model Code and Year with this date. If it does, the following message will be displayed:
If you answer "Y", the values entered will be accepted. If you answer "N", the data will be erased from the fields.
If you are using an effective date for which there is no previous record, the question above will not appear. It is understood that you want an additional record. |
