Create records for those cities, states, counties, or other municipalities that issue license plates for the fleet. The License Entity codes created here are entered into vehicle records in the Vehicle Inventory File to note which state or other municipality issued the license plate for the vehicle.
To access the Edit License Entities program, type EDITLIC (RET) at any menu "OPTION:" field or the appropriate line number on the Fleet Control Files menu. The screen will then display:

1. LICENSE ENTITY |
Enter up to 2 alphanumeric characters representing a municipality that issues vehicle license plates for your fleet. This may be a city, county, state or province for example. EXAMPLE: Type CA (RET). |

2. DESCRIPTION |
Enter up to 30 alphanumeric characters describing the code in Field 1. The first 15 will display in the Vehicle Inventory File. EXAMPLE: Type CALIFORNIA (RET). |
