I. INTRODUCTION

AutoMobile Technologies (AMT) offers an application for damage inspection called Inspection Notes.

When a RA is opened, basic data about the RA is transmitted to AMT. A few minutes later, using a tablet on which the AMT application has been installed, photographs are taken of the vehicle and are transmitted to AMT referencing the RA. These photographs are stored on the AMT server and are available for reference by the rental location should there be a dispute about damages to the vehicle during the rental period.

II. SET UP

A. The rental operation must contact AutoMobile Technologies to obtain the application.

B. Contact Thermeon Customer Support and request that the background processes be set up to send the CSV files to AMT.

C. Edit Locations - Field: DO AMT INTERFACE (Page 7, field 11). Place a "Y" in this field for those locations using the AMT Inspection Notes process.

III. HOW IT WORKS

A. Saving the RA

Upon saving a RA (or an exchange on a RA) with F1, the following basic rental data is written to a CSV file in the following order:

RA Number

RA Open Location

RA Close Location

Vehicle Number

Vehicle VIN Number

Vehicle Make

Vehicle Model

Vehicle Model Year

RA Odometer Out

RA Fuel Level Out

Customer Last Name (extended last name is supported)

Customer Street Address

Customer Phone Number

Customer Email Address

Option Short Description of all L- and C-type Coverages Sold (comma separated, in a single field)

Vehicle License Number

The CSV file will be written to the amt directory under the base installation directory and is named as: nnnnnnnn.csv

(where nnnnnnnn is the RA number)

The CSV file is sent to AMT via SFTP using the credentials that AMT supplies.

B. Taking the photos

Using a tablet with the AMT application installed, multiple photos can be taken of the vehicle highlighting any existing damage (or lack of damage). When taking the photos, you will need to identify the RA these photos are related to. This is done within the AMT application using the data CARS+ supplied.
