Use the Print Model Codes program to:

Obtain a report or csv file listing the vehicle Model Codes and descriptions.

To access the Print Model Codes program, type PRTMDL(RET) at any menu "OPTION:" field or the appropriate line number on the Print Fleet Control Files sub-menu of the Fleet Control Files menu. The screen will then display:

Enter data as follows:

1. START CODE

Enter up to 8 alphanumeric characters to indicate the first (or starting) Model Code that should be included in the report. Press RET to default to the FIRST Model Code.

EXAMPLE: Type ESCAPE (RET)

2. END CODE

Enter up to 8 alphanumeric characters to indicate the Ending Code. Press RET to default to the LAST Model Code.

EXAMPLE: Press RET

3. START YEAR

To limit the report to a particular model year or a range of model years, enter 2 digits representing the starting year.

EXAMPLE: Type 14 (RET)

4. END YEAR

To limit the report to a particular model year or a range of model years, enter 2 digits representing the ending year.

EXAMPLE: Type 15 (RET)

5. PRINT/
DISP/CSV

Enter:

P = Print a hard copy of this report on your terminal's assigned printer. See the Edit Terminal Records Chapter for instructions on how to assign printers.

D = Display this report on your terminal screen. See the General Data Entry Instructions Chapter on how to control the screen display.

C = Create a CSV file in the report directory. Contact Thermeon's Customer Support Dept. for more information.

6. EXCLUDE MODELS WITH SPECIAL EQUIPMENT
 Enter:
Y = Exclude the model codes that have an Option Code enter in the "Model Option" field and a "Y" in the "Charge Option" field.
N = do not exclude them
EXAMPLE: Press (RET)
7. INCLUDE FOREIGN MODELS
 This field is provided for Hertz Canada which imports a text file of US owned vehicles into their CARS+ system. Model codes created by the import program are flagged as "foreign" in the Model Code record.
Indicate whether or not these model codes should be included in the report. Enter:
Y = Include the foreign model codes
N = do not include them
EXAMPLE: Press (RET)

The screen will then display:
