This program is used to set or change the License Entity field in the vehicle records in the Inventory file.

The records can be selected by owning location or may be updated from a file.

To access this program, type SETLIC at any menu "OPTION" or the appropriate number from the Fleet Control Files menu.
The screen will display:

Enter data as follows:

1. OWNING LOCATION

 If not updating from a file (Field 2 is blank), enter the owning location of the vehicle records that are to be updated. All unsold vehicles owned by this location will be updated.

EXAMPLE: Type TUS (RET)

2. FILE W/OWNING LOCS

To update vehicle records from a file, create a comma delimited file and enter the name of the file here. The file must be set up in the directory $CARSDIR/A. The vehicle file will be examined for unsold vehicles whose owning location matches the value of the locations in the file.

EXAMPLE: Press(RET)

3. NEW LICENSE ENTITY

Enter 2 alpha characters representing the license entity. Each record selected either by entering an owning location in Field 1 or by using a file (Field 2) will have their License Entity field changed to this code.
