Use this program to apply new privileges that have been recently added to CDPID/Corporate Contract records to open reservations. This program is required because, by default, CARS+ applies all CDPID privileges that exist as of the booking date to a reservation. These privileges are NOT re-validated when the reservation is edited or when the resulting RA is opened. If a new privilege is to be applied to existing future reservations, this program must be used.

To access the Update Reservations With New Privileges program, type NEWPRV (RET) at any menu "OPTION:" field or the appropriate line number on the Corporate Sub-Menu of the Customer Maintenance Menu. The screen will then display:

Enter data as follows:

1. NEW PRIVILEGE CODE

Enter up to 3 alphanumeric characters that represent the new Privilege Code that is to be applied to the appropriate open reservations. EXAMPLE: Type X1 (RET)

PRESS "FI" AT "OPTION" TO BEGIN THE UPDATE PROCESS.

The program will:

• Step 1: Find all Corporate Contract records that have the Privilege Code entered on the screen.
• Step 2: Next make a list of all CDPID Numbers that reference any of the Corporate Contracts found in Step 1.
• Step 3: Read all open reservations looking for reservations with any CDPIDs that were found in Step 2.
• Step 4: For each reservation found, add the new Privilege Code to the reservation (if it is not already on it), and re-save the reservation.
