For example, if you wanted to run a Manifest for only IBM customers, the following steps would be necessary:
1. In this file, assign IBM's CDPID numbers a single character Service Flag, such as "V".
2. Then on the Reservation Manifest screen in Field 12, "Flag selections", entering an "V" produces a report of only reservations.
To access the CDPID Service Flags program, type CDPFLAG (RET) at any menu "OPTION:" field or the appropriate line number on the Hertz Programs Menu. The screen will then display:
| OPTION: __ CDPID SERVICE FLAGS 1 CDPID # 2 Description 3 Service flag 1BEGIN 2 3ERASE 4 5 6 7HELP 8 |
Enter data as follows:
|
1. CDPID NUMBER |
Enter up to 10 numeric characters for a CDPID Number. EXAMPLE: Type 40000 (RET) |
|
2. DESCRIP-TION |
Enter the corresponding company name. EXAMPLE: Type IBM (RET) |
|
3. SERVICE FLAG |
Enter a single alphanumeric code to indicate the special service flag you wish to assign to this customer. EXAMPLE: Type V (RET) |
|
The following
codes have predetermined meaning to CARS+ and therefore cannot be used:
When a
reservation received from OKC contains a CDPID #, CARS+ attempts to find a
matching Service Flag from this file. If found, the Service Flag is added to
the CARS+ reservation record and will appear on the Reservation Manifest
listing. You may also restrict the Manifest to print only reservations with a
selected Service Flag.
$ = Guaranteed reservation If you use one of the above codes you will not be able to distinguish between a reservation that was originally flagged by Oklahoma City's Reservation Center for special service or flagged by the CDPID file. |
