Use this program to create damage code types that are used by the full-screen version of the Damage logic. These single character type codes are used to describe the type of damage to the vehicle, such as "dent", "scratch", "broken", "missing". By using a single character code, data entry for a damage report is more efficient.

To access the Edit Damage Code program, type EDITDMGC (RET) at any menu"OPTION:" field or the appropriate line number on the Damage Control Files menu. The screen will then display:

Enter data as follows:

1. DAMAGE CODE	Enter a single alphanumeric character representing a code for a type of damage. EXAMPLE: Type S (RET)
2. SHORT DESC	Enter up to 12 characters for a short description. EXAMPLE: Type SCRATCH (RET)
3. DESC	Enter up to 50 alphanumeric characters for a long description. EXAMPLE: Type SCRATCH THROUGH PAINT (RET)

Press "F1" at the OPTION to save the record.
