It is not necessary to know the user's current password in order to reset it when using this program.
CAUTION: Because this program has the ability to reset users passwords, access to this program should be strictly limited to only the system administrator and/or other high level users.
USER TIP: Unlike other programs, simply having this item on your menu is not enough to access the program. The user must be set up for access by Thermeon Customer Support.
To access this program: To access the program, type CHGPWD (RET) at any menu "OPTION:" field or the appropriate number on the Security Menu. The screen will then display:

Enter data as follows:

Enter up to 6 alphanumeric characters representing the usercode of the user whose password needs to be reset. (This user code must already exist in the User Access File.) EXAMPLE: Type TUSMMG (RET) |
Upon pressing "F1" at "OPTION:", you will be prompted for your own password to verify that you have authority to use this program.
Once validated, the new password will display.
